She was born Jan. 10, 1920 in Ansonia, the daughter of the late Frank and Salvatrice (Schillacci) Desiderato.
She is survived by a son Edward Hackett and his wife Christine of Nanuet, NY, a daughter, Carol Rosario and her husband George of NJ, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her 4 sisters, Antoinette Agostara, Rose Aiello, Phiomena Martino and Mary Fama and her 3 brothers, Alex, Joseph and Philip Desiderato.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will be at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby. Calling hours will be Wednesday 9a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Spinelli Malerba and Ricutti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver St. Ansonia.
