Walter William Wassil

Adela M. Wassil.

He was born Feb. 16, 1919 in New Britain son of the late Joseph and Katherine Wassil. He had retired from New Britain Machine where he had worked for 42 years. Mr. Wassil was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by a son Walter J. Wassil of Ashford, Elizabeth L . Barniak and husband Andrew of Southington, Mary Wassil Fiore and husband David J. of Rocky Hill, a brother Anthony Wassil and a sister Ann Todeschini both of Berlin. He was the grandfather of the late Jason Allen Barniak. He also leaves 5 grandchildren, Bradley Wassil and wife Joy of CA, Lindsay Barniak of Southington, Jamie Wassil of FL, David Fiore and Katherine Fiore both of Rocky Hill, a great granddaughter Hannah Wassil and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Michael, John, Peter and Nickolas.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.
