Warren C. Barber

Southington- Warren C. Barber, 83, formerly of Waterford and Southington, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 at the Hebrew Home & Health Care in West Hartford. He was the husband of Victoria (Patnode) Barber.

Born in Keeseville, NY, on Nov. 5, 1923 the son of the late Peter and Ida (Bonville) Barber. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Intrepid. He was employed by New Departure in Meriden and then in Bristol, retiring in 1983. Mr. Barber was an avid golfer and a loving husband.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Marsha Batt of Vernon a son, Keith Barber and his wife Carol of Waterford, 5 grandchildren, Russell Barber Christiane Barber, Karen and her husband Paul Standish, Sarah Batt and Heidi Batt, 2 great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Amanda.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be TODAY from 5-7 pm.
