William Cronan

Born in Waterbury on September 28, 1946 he was the son of the late William Cronan Sr. and Lee (Brangel) Cronan. He was raised in Wolcott and graduated from Wolcott High School in 1964. For over 20 years he was the head cook at Highland Health Care Center in Cheshire. He enjoyed golfing, reading books, and had a wonderful dry sense of humor. He also loved to ride his motorcycle.

Besides his wife of 39 years, he is survived by a daughter Carolyn Cronan of Waterbury, three sisters, Karen and her husband Steve Praskievicz of Bethany, Christine and her husband Mark Smith of Stonington, Maureen Smith of Andover, CT, a sister-in-law Donna and her husband Tim Danis Sr. of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his cats Ferdie and “Daddys little girl” Opie.

A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott, followed by burial of his cremains in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
