

William Kelly Henninger, 83, of Southington, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Bittner) Henninger, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion.
Born on May 7, 1942, in New Britain, Bill was the son of the late John and Theresa (Kelly) Henninger. He grew up with strong family values that remained at the center of his life.
Bill was a faithful parishioner of the former St. Thomas Church and was an active member of the Hardware City Lakers. He dedicated many years of his professional life to Parker Hannifin in New Britain, where he worked as an engineer until his retirement. His strong work ethic and steady presence earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, Bill found great joy in his hobbies. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and a passionate model train collector, pursuits that reflected both his appreciation for craftsmanship and his love of history. He especially treasured the time spent sharing these interests with his family.
Bill is survived by his two loving daughters, Donna Brennan of Southington and Denise Henninger of Canton; his three cherished grandchildren, Shawn Brennan and his wife Amanda of Southington, Danielle Mills and her husband David of Bristol, and Connor Brennan of Southington; and his two adored great-grandchildren, Lyla and Aiden Brennan. He is also survived by his brother, John Henninger and his wife Bonnie of Niantic, along with several nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends. In addition to his wife Joan, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, William Brennan Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, March 1st, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington. Bill will be laid to rest privately with his family beside his beloved wife Joan at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bills memory may be made to www.parkinson.org
Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and the steady kindness that defined his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
