

Southington-William Leach, 65, of LasVegas, NV died Dec. 24, 2010, after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor, Bill fought a courageous battle and spent his final days surrounded by family and friends at the home of his daughter in Southington. He was formerly of Southington and moved to Las Vegas in 2005.
He was born on February 14, 1945 in Jeffersonville, IN and was raised in Waterbury, CT. Bill served in the U.S Air Force, graduated from Univ. of New Haven and later taught in the Westport School System. He was a master craftsman and owned his own custom woodworking business. He had a love of cars and the outdoors. Bill spent the last 5 years of his life living in Las Vegas with his wife Pam, making many special friends and being the ultimate tour guide to all his visitors.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela, 2 daughters, Krista Steindl and husband Robert of Southington, Susan Leach-Hebert and husband Kenneth of South Windsor, 4 grandchildren, Rebekah and Luke Hebert and Eli and Drew Steindl, who will miss ?Pepa? very much. He also leaves 3 sisters, Beverly MacGonegal, Lillian Zeiner and husband Edward and Theresa Schulze and husband Edmund, as well as several nieces and nephews, including Ethan, Zachary, Jack, Madison, Bret and Kennedy.
He was predeceased by his mother Ruth DeRosa and his brother Alan MacGonegal.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 531 Woodruff St. Southington, Calling hours will be at the church on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m.
