Schwenker, Carl William passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, February 29th, 2016 in his 92nd year. Carl leaves behind his loving wife Hermine “Minnie” of over 70 years, his children Gail (George), Beverley (Keith), Timothy and David (Mary). He will be missed by his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A respected house and pool builder, Carl received numerous awards for his innovative, creative designs and construction. He was past president of the NHBA and NSPI. Carl will be remembered for his kind heart, his advice and his insistence of a job well done.
The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Thursday, March 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 140 Russell Ave., on Friday, March 4th at 3pm. Private family interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. A special thank you to the wonderful, kind staff in Virgil House, Upper Canada Lodge for the care they gave Dad.
