Catherine G. Walters Pennington

Peacefully passed away with family by her side on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Linhaven Home, at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife for 58 years of Bill. Mother of Jane (Tony) Brandon, Clare (Patrick) Ward, Sarah (Levor Guenther) Pennington, and Paul (Ruby Comrie) Pennington. Grandma of Robert, David, Corey, Jeff, Shawn, and Joshua. Great-grandmother of Lillyanna and Paula May. Sister of Dorothea Harrison. Catherine will be fondly remembered by her “Families for Children” sponsored child; Indirani of India. She was a longtime parishioner of The Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria and a Past President of the Catholic Women’s League. She was also an avid volunteer for many years with St. Nicholas Elementary School and annually hosted BBQ’s and special events for the kids.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexadria. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations made to Families For Children (www.familiesforchildren.ca) or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
