Charlie lived on our floor. I will miss him. We often saw each other at the bus stop or on the bus and would have interesting discussions. He knew a lot about the city and would tell stories about various buildings in the area. RIP Charlie...

Sending thoughts and prayers to the Green Family. I had the pleasure of Uncle Charlie's company many times and he was a very talented and special man.  RIP Uncle Charlie.

Just sending my condolences to all my cousins in the loss of their father and to all the families. He was a talented guitar picker and I will miss all those family gatherings with all the music playing at my grandmother's on Pelham Rd. in the mid-to-late 80s. RIP Uncle Charlie. Happy Trails.

Dad, we will miss you so much. You lived to have sooo many friends you met while playing in Thorold and where you lived. God rest your soul and we have peace now knowing you are with your only love, our mother, Lucy Ann and probably playing musical medleys with your sisters Evelyn, Maud, Lillian, and Ruth and with your Brothers Roy and Fred. I am sure the heavens are filled with those tunes you all love and enjoyed to sing. HAPPY TRAILS to you all in Heaven. We will all be together again someday. Rest in Peace, Dad. I remember when he would play the guitar when I was very little on the couch and I would put my ear against the guitar while he played the guitar. I loved hearing guitar music and love when His brothers and sisters and our family as kids would gather at Christmas at Aunt Lil's on Pelham Road and they all would get out the piano, guitars and organ and microphones and get us all to sing Christmas carols. 
Also He would always love my daughters Denise and Gracey and called them his lil pumpkin seeds. He used to tease Gracey by calling her Graceland and she would say, "No Papa its GRACE LYNN! lol we would always laugh. 
He would always go Up North and hunt and  bring back some smoked salmon for us for dinner.
 
One thing I remember living in Welland on Kent Street, He would get the newspaper with the Horse Races on it and ask each of us to pick a winner and he would go to the races and bring back the winner (one of us always won) 2 dollars and said YOU WON! 
 
These are my greatest of memories of him. 
 
No matter what he always cherished his grandkids, each one individually and love them with all his heart. He loved seeing them they always made him smile. AND I KNOW he had a hard time showing it I will always know he loved Mom Lucy Ann with all his heart. He would call me and tell me there is not one minute during the day he didn't think of her. I know that for sure.

Lighting a Candle for my Dad and my children's PaPa Charlie.

Dad, I know you and I went thru some tough times for many years, but that's what happens normally to all parents and children. BUT we had some good memories together also. After we finally reconciled our differences and put the past behind us, I became your "babygirl" once again and we forgave each other and that made it all okay. I know we may feel heartbroken you won't be feeling our hugs anymore BUT WE WILL REJOICE because I know you asked for forgiveness and you were forgiven by God also before He brought you to the Promised Land and forgiven by me. I am rejoicing because I know you are now with Mom, your one and only love and all of your beloved sisters, brothers and parents now. We will see each other again someday. I will always remember the last Day I saw you at that Bus Terminal and you gave me the biggest hug and said "I love you" and how proud you were of your son David to be a cancer survivor and saw pictures of your new Great Grandson Madden and granddaughter Kelly-Ann and said how beautiful they were. I will never forget that in all my days alive. 
Rest in Peace, Old man, you can now be happy and not alone anymore.
