Claude Young

Sailed home on January 6, 2011 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 73rd year. Loving husband to Lorraine (Matthews) Young for 45 years. Loving father to Karen (Steve) Gill and the late Claudette (Roger) Helmkay (July 2010). Beloved poppy to Robert, Dustin, Rebecca, Quinn and Chloe. Great grandfather to Sirena. Loving guardian to Allan Matthews. Son of the late Thomas and Rita Young. Brother to Rita, Lillian and the late Myrtle. Claude was a proud Newfoundlander, worked as a sailor and retired from General Motors after 31 years of work. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
