Donna Annette Phillips passed away with her best friend by her side on November 5th, 2023 at 10:02am after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Donna beat all odds and survived just shy of 3 years, 24 months longer than prognosis.
Beloved wife of 40 years to Blair M. Phillips, remembered and honoured by her children, Raymond Phillips (Jolene) and Katie Forget (Alain). Dear grandma of her 4 amazing grand babies, Elsa, Zofia, Callahan and Tony Mae who meant the world to her. Donna is survived by her Mother, Viola Mussell, and dear siblings Dianne (Tom), Cheryl (Dave), Bob (Dee) and Doug. Pre deceased by her father Robert Mussell and late brother Brian.
Donna worked doing chef training at Aberge Suisse, she was a tailor at Herzogs and most importantly a stay at home mother.
Donna was a long time member of Adult Children of Alcoholics and Al-anon. She was also a frequent traveller to Sol Cayo largo, Cuba.
She will be greatly missed for her sense of humour, passion and strong will. A special thanks to NP Jennifer Lee, and all the nursing staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver “ Hospice Care” 2 west for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends and family will be received at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Saturday Nov. 18th from 1:00-2:30pm. A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held in the chapel at 2:30pm.
In lieu of donations and to educate Canadians on how to significantly reduce Cancer, the family suggests reading Dr. Colin T. Campbell’s book,"The China Study" 2016 from Blackstone Publishing.
