Doris May Capell

Passed away peacefully on July 12, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 83rd year of life. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth M. Capell (2007), loving mother of Stewart W. (Jane) and Stephen J. She is survived by her brother Douglas G. Wood (Joanne) and sister Sharon Marshall (Donald). Predeceased by both parents Ernest (1984) and Violet (1978), and sisters Dorthy Groh (Spike) and Mary Ellen Laws (Donald). Doris is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Doris worked for Loblaws before taking up being a house wife, child minder, and a farmer’s wife. Her love of flowers around the home was evident year after year, and brought her great enjoyment, much more than the beef cattle the family raised till the mid-nineties.

Doris’ family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St., St. Catharines, (905-684-6346), on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 7 – 9 pm. The Service will take place in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Christ Church McNab Cemetery in Niagara on the Lake.
