Peacefully on Monday, March 21st, 2011 in her 91st year, Doris Aileen (Plumer) Hipwell (1921- 2011), cherished wife of the late Jack Hipwell (2005). Dearly beloved mother of Jo-Anne (Lyle) Trousdale, John (Marla), Jeffery (2007) (Marlene). Nana will be greatly missed by grandchildren Michelle, Erin, Denise, John, Gregory, Daniel, Jennifer, Melissa, Matthew and great-grandchildren Aileen, Jack, Malcolm, Ian, and Elle. Also survived by brother William Plumer (Jeannette) and many nieces and nephews. Doris will be fondly remembered by friends and associates from her years as secretary at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church and with Junior Achievement.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial service will be held at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011. Visitation – 12:00 pm. to 1:00 pm., Memorial service 1:00 pm., Reception to follow.
