
GREENWOOD, Efa Mary Logie (née Heward) - Died suddenly at home, on September 12, 2010 in her 78th year. Efa was born in Montreal on August 4, 1933. Daughter of the late A.B.A. Heward and Barbara (Logie). Survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Greenwood. Mother of Barbara (James Pugh), Peter (Margaret) and John (Karra). Grandmother of Colin and Sarah (Peter) and of Jack, Michael and Harry (John). Predeceased by a sister Barbara. Survived by a brother Chillon and a sister Faith. Efa attended The Study and McGill University in Montreal. She graduated from McGill in the spring of 1955. She married in the fall of the same year and immediately started a family. Despite the demands of a young active family she managed to lead several charitable organizations with great effect. Efa was an accomplished athlete in many sports, particularly skiing. She made and retained many lifelong friends. The love and mission of her life was always family. A visitation will take place at the Hulse and English Funeral Home, 75 Church St., St. Catharines, Ont. from 7-9 p.m. on September 15. There will be a funeral service at St. George's Church, 83 Church St., St. Catharines at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 16. Cremation will follow the church service and burial will be in Brockville, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations amy be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association.
