Passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the age of 96. Loving husband of Jeanette (nee Anderson). Dear father of Diane (the late David Gill), Patricia Schinkel, David (Rhoda), Joe (Jill). Step-father of Susan English, Laurie Wilson, John (Mary) Wilson, and Andrea Andrews. Cherished grandfather of Preston (Carly), Paul, Jim (Jenny), Mark, Jeff, Terra, Robyn (Jonathon), Megan (Mike), Jessica, Jackie, Jordan (Sydnie), Annie (Patrick), Erin (Aaron), Andy, Mack, Kathleen, Olivia (Chris)Chelsea, and Keaton. Great-grandfather of sixteen and a half. Dearly remembered by his sons in law; Bill English and Gilles Hebert as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings; Ann, Bill, Dorothy, Leona and Jennie.
Harry was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Royal Canadian Army - Service Corps in the 4th Armoured Brigade in England and Northern Europe. He was a retired employee with General Motors.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St. St. Catharines. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
