It is with great sadness that the family of Jim announces his passing on Oct. 21, 2025 at the age of 94 in Fonthill Ontario.
Father of Glen James Farr, and Deborah Catherine (Wayne) Farr-Paquette, and loving poppa of Phillip (Caitlin) and Jesse (Edna), Kayla (Chris) and Lindsay. Great grandfather of Keira, Val, Scott, Vimy, Henry, Blair, Layne, Noah, Jaxon, Emma, Logan, Grayson. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen (Keck) Farr, and his parents Elva and Catherine (McCormick) Farr.
Jim was a founding member of the Niagara Antique Power Association, a senior director of the
Wainfleet Agricultural Society, member of the Wainfleet Historical Society and The Wheelmen high-wheeled
bicycle club. He loved to ride his Penny Farthing (high wheel) bicycles and drive his antique cars, and
was passionate about preserving the rural agricultural heritage of his birthplace Wainfleet Ontario.
A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines with a funeral beginning at 11:00 am in the chapel and interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines.
