Joyce Mildred Klingender

Passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the age of 94. Loving wife of Fred (1999) for 47 years. Cherished mother of Bill (Coleen Rossetto) and Janet (Chuck Rutherford). Grandma of Christopher Vanier (Paula Letman), Trevor Klingender, Morgan (Greg Adams) and Laura MacLean. Sadly missed by her sister, Christina McMullin, as well as sister-in-law, Sheila Thomson and brother-in-law, Pete Kalogeropoulos. Predeceased by parents, George and Christina Thomson, and siblings, George Thomson, Audrey Bauer, Norma Roper and Margaret Kalogeropoulos.

Joyce was an Elementary School Teacher for the Lincoln County Board of Education/District School Board of Niagara, retiring in 1986. Joy and Fred enjoyed their trailer, travelling extensively throughout North America. Joyce was an avid gardener, enjoyed singing in the Grantham United Church choir, and was a member of the St. Catharines Clean City Committee.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Linhaven, for their wonderful care of Joyce.

Family and friends are invited to Hulse & English Funeral Home at 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Trillium United Church, 415 Linwell Road, St. Catharines on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will be live streamed on the church website www.trilliumunited.ca. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
