Joyce Susan Lajoie

With her family by her side at the St. Catharines General Hospital, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Pierre. Loving mother of Roger (Pamela), Suzanne, George (Francine), Edouard (Joan), Andre (Gilda), Denis (Wayne), Gilles (Sophie), Julie, the late Michel and her daughter in law Marisa Signorini. She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren; Martin, Natalie, Kyra, Mathieu, Julien, Emile, Corinne, Etienne, the late Michel, and numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Gordon (Dora) Baird, Everett (Colleen) Baird, Clifford (Anne) Baird, Lorne (Kathy) Baird, Madeline Dobbin, and Roy (Betty) Baird. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Frendo and the staff of Niagara on the Lake Hospital where Joyce was in recovery for a number of months and also to the staff from The Loyalist Retirement Home and Dr. Chris Lynett who took great care of Joyce for the past 12 years.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346). A Celebration of Joyce’s life will take place in the chapel at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial donations made to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
