JUNE MCGARVIE-RUSS, 53, entered into eternal happiness on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, peacefully in her home surrounded by family. June was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October, 13th, 1959, a daughter of Dieter G.H. and Elaine S. Ewert, of Riverdale Utah. She graduated from Grace M. Davis high school, Modesto, California in 1976, attended Brigham Young University, majored in Dance Education, and worked for the Family and Children’s Services, Niagara. She married {Gordon} Young Mun Russ, ON October 13th, 2012. An accomplished actress, having been involved in 50 productions, she was involved with Garden City Productions, Port Mansion Theatre, and several other local theatre groups.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; husband, {Gordon} Young Mun Russ, survived by her loving children, Jesse A., Neil, Paul J. and his wife Talia, and Stephen L. Richardson and the Russ children, Sarah Russ, Laura Russ, and Gordon Russ Jr. Along with parents and loving siblings, Craig C. and Cyndy Ewert, of Modesto California, Lorraine E. and Gary Mead, of Layton, Utah, Mark S. and Caryn Ewert, of Riverdale Utah.

The family will enjoy receiving visitors at the Hulse & English Funeral Home, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, on Friday, February 22nd, 2103 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A service will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, St. Catharines, Ontario at 351 Glenridge Avenue. The family will also be receiving visitors an hour prior to the service on Saturday morning. The Interment will be taking place in Ogden Utah, a week following the above local services, as per her wishes of returning home to Utah.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, June has requested that donations be made to The Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton, Ontario in honor her sweet little friend, Jordan Taylor.
