She is predeceased by her parents James and Lena, brothers Earl, Murray, Gordon, Norman, sister Winnifred (Clark) and her lifetime companion Evelyn Schnick. She leaves a big hole in the heart of her many nieces and nephews, especially Leanne Zdrobov and Marilyn Coull for whom she was a second mother. Lee also had a very special place in her heart for Dan and Dave her great nephews.
Lee had various careers. She was a World War II vet, serving in the Royal Canadian Army both on the West Coast and at Camp X, a secretary at Niagara Vallance Brown and Anthes Imperial, a clerk at the Lincoln County School Board, a real estate agent, part owner of Del's Gift Shop and finally, after her full time retirement, she filled her days as a school bus driver. Lee was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Port Dalhousie Branch 350.
She was an extremely capable, independent woman and well loved by all who knew her. Her love of cats was famous. Our thanks go out to the staff on the second floor at Extendicare for their wonderful care and compassion.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel.
If desired, donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society in her memory.
