Pieter "Peter" Marcus

After a long and brave struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), the Lord took home His child, Peter, at the age of 80 on May 4, 2014. Loving husband of Loni, dear father of Margaret and Gerry Gysbers; Marlene Marcus; Sandra and Pete Kuperis; and Nancy and Trevor Janzen. Opa to Rachel, Sarah, Peter, Rebecca, Matthew and Lyndsay in Heaven, Luke, Crysta, Tyler, Benjamin, Noah, and Stephen. Beloved brother of Doreen and the late John Vandriel; Margaret and the late Dan van Egmond; and Leo and Diana Marcus. Dear brother-in-law of Harry and Helen van Egmond; Wilma and Jack Ravensbergen; Jerry and Connie van Egmond; and Mary and Bill Goodfellow. Oom Pete to many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11am. Both will take place at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 278 Parnell Rd., St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice Niagara.
