After a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, Steve passed peacefully at St. Catharines General in St. Catharines, Ontario on Sept. 20, 2021 at the age of 67. Loving husband of Jennifer Fair, fondly remembered by his children Rebecca Bridges, Rory Campbell, Shaylin Bridges and Shelby Bridges.
Survived by his brother Chris (Margaret), predeceased by his brother David and parents Denis and Mary.
Steve was an avid British sports car and motorcycle enthusiast. He worked alongside his father from a young age, building and repairing cars and motorcycles in the family business, Bridges Motors.
Steve was a retired City of St. Catharine's Fire Captain who loved and worked his job for over 30 years. The men who worked beside him were his support and became long and true friends.
A special thank you to the nurses who provided care to Steve at home and the Doctor's involved in the many years he fought his Cancer. Donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or Juravinski Hospital would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Cat's Caboose on Glenridge Avenue in St. Catharines.
