Theodor "Ted" Rode

Ted passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in his 104th year. He will be deeply missed by Maria, his loving wife of 78 years. Dad was a wonderful, kind and caring father to his children; Myrna (Ken), Don (Danita), Al (Kathy), and Ken, as well as a Grandpa to Chadrick, Owen, David, Shawna, Brian, and Jennifer. He was proud to be known as Opa to eight great-grandchildren. Ted had eight younger siblings and is survived by his sister Dora and brothers; Ed (Carol) and Alvin (Alice). Ted worked for 32 years with General Motors. He was a member of the Dunlop Senior’s Centre and a long time lawn bowler.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 31 Agar Dr. (905-934-2434). A private burial will take place in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
