Patriarch of the Patten family died on November 13, 2010, at Hospice Niagara. Gratitude for the care and empathy shown by the staff of Hospice Niagara; nurses, P.S.W.s at CCAC and Paramed is heartfelt. Tom was born in London, England. He served 5 years in the Royal Navy during World War II. He married Betty Mary, Hellier on September 7, 1946, and they emigrated from England in 1953. Tom worked at Alliance and Domtar Paper Mills. He was a worthy opponent at cribbage and enjoyed the game for many years. He is survived by his wife Betty, sons: Michael (Carolyn, née Bryne), Graham (Mary Jane, née Martin), Wayne (Diane, née Mauro), and Robert (Alison, née Mitchell). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Alison, the late Rob (1995), Jimmy, Jason, Blair, Brandon, Dylan, Ryan and great-grandsons Jordan, Jesci and Colby. He is survived by his siblings Harold, Jean, Ivy, and Queenie, all of England.
