I remember for several years typing his family Christmas letter. Always interesting to hear of each years events unfold, telling all of what his family has been up to during the year and how proud he was of everyone.

Because Ernie was concerned about Wycliffe driving at night alone after songster and band practices, he asked him to phone us when he arrived safely. Dutifully, and eventually, the call was received with just two words: "I'm home."
And now, one virtual last call: "I'm home!"

Bill has fond memories of sharing many meals in the Goodger home while attending Etobicoke Temple in the late sixties. Donna and Bill have been lifelong friends with Roger and Sandy. We are thinking of them and their family at this time. We also send our condolences to Majors Martin and Margo and their family. Prayers for everyone.

I am so sorry for you family's loss of a wonderful man and a great soldier of the army and of the war. One of my memories is on Sunday's Robert Jr would wait to help Mr. Goodger bring in his trombone in to church to help him, he did it even before he was in the band. Robert just took a liking to helping him every Sunday when he could if we did make it their before Mr Goodger he would at least help him after church. And he always had a smile on his face and he loved to talk to me about his family and how proud he was of his kids and also his grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. He was so proud of all of you and loved all of you so much. Johnathan he was always telling me the things you were up to and what was going on in your life. I think he did that because he knew we were friends back in the day when you were at St. Catharines when we were just kids. And another memory is when Breanne was the youngest jr soldier and He was the oldest and they got to cut the Anniversary cake together and get a picture done together and Breanne still remembers that day as well. Your father, grandad ,uncle, friend, soldier, was a very wonderful man with a wonderful talent we will be missed but now he is up in heaven playing in the band their and reunited with his friends. Well done good and faithfull survent.
