James D. Knudsen, 89, on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was born January 19, 1932 to Bertel Marinus and Elise Marie (nee Nagel) Knudsen in St. Louis. He is the brother of the late Elmer Knudsen, Vera Walkup, Marie Schaffer, Ernest Knudsen, Arthur Knudsen, Elsa Knudsen, Dorothy Anderson, Michael Knudsen, Edward Knudsen, Richard Knudsen, and Timothy Knudsen and dear uncle to John Knudsen and many other nieces and nephews living throughout the United States and Southern Africa.
James graduated from Roosevelt High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Washington University. After serving in the army during the Korean Conflict, he worked for McDonnell-Douglas and the McKenna Equipment Co. He was an avid builder of scale model steam engines.
SERVICES: Visitation 4-7pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021 and 11am until time of services Thursday, july 1, 2021 at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary 6464 Chippewa at Watson. Interment St. Matthew's Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Webster Groves.
