He was 81 years old, a Jesuit for 62 years and a priest for 50 years. He was a lifelong theology professor and taught for nearly 30 years at Saint Louis University.
Born Jan. 10, 1945, to John F. and Cecelia S. (Sullivan) Mueller in Denver, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fr. Michael J. Mueller, SJ. He is survived by his brother Stephen F. Services: Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel of St. Ignatius Hall, the Jesuit Community at Garden Villas North, in Florissant, Missouri, on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. At 9:45 am, Fr. Mueller’s brother and sister will offer eulogies in the chapel. These eulogies and the Mass will be live streamed at jesuits.family/fr-mueller-funeral. Father Mueller will be buried at Calvary Cemetery.
