Lucille M. Liefer Murray

Lucille Mathilda (Liefer) Murray was born April 1, 1922 to Henry C. and Emma K. (Wegener) Liefer in Red Bud, Illinois. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran in Red Bud. She graduated from Red Bud High School in 1941.

She then moved to St. Louis and was employed by several businesses. She spent some 30 plus years working for Lindbergh Cadillac and retired from Lindbergh. She really enjoyed her job and talked about it often.

On July 5th 1958 she and Arthur Murray were married. They both enjoyed dancing and taking vacations, visiting other countries. Arthur passed away on August 23, 1994.

Lucille was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Bernice Suchodolski, Ruth Wetzel, Marie Kahle and Carolyn Liefer. She is survived by 2 brothers, H. Edward Liefer of Red Bud, and Kenneth Liefer of St. Charles and many nieces and nephews.

Lucille was an involved member of Christ Lutheran Church, Webster Groves for more than 50 years.

The family will receive family and friends from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday June 7, 2016 at Hoffmeister Colonial 6464 Chippewa St. at Watson. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. Christ Lutheran Church 1 Selma Ave., Webster Groves.
