I worked with this beautiful woman for 10 years.  She loved her patients & and her co-workers.  She was one of the best nurses i ever worked with.

Dear Sister,
I am so deeply sorry to see you go. You being the youngest of the thirteen siblings seems unfair to me.
But God has his plans for each one of us. And I must believe and have faith  in you Oh God. The last three months of your illness, pain and suffering were extremely difficult times for Linda and I  and many others.  But as we visited you every single day in  the hospital, you demonstrated your happiness to be surrounded by  your family. I remember you asking Linda and I if we were coming the next day.  Also I want you to know, long ago as we grew up in Colombia  at my tender age of thirteen years old or so , our father said to me "son you know,you have many sisters and you as their brother need to give them a hand at a time of need" I hope I have done that. We did not always see things the same way and not always agreed, but we always had respect for each other. I will  miss you. But knowing you are no longer suffering and in the company of all those who left us before you, puts me at ease . Be a bright star for all us.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Maria. I had the honor and privilege of working with her for the past almost 3 years at Bethesda. She was an excellent nurse and had a lot of compassion for her residents.  She provided care to many of my hospice patients and I knew I could trust her with ensuring they were comfortable. She truly inspired me. I felt so honored when she called me last Thursday asking me to be her hospice nurse and help her. She will be truly missed by many.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Maria was a wonderful nurse. She will truly be missed by all. Sending prayers to family and friends.

Today I say goodbye with a heart full of gratitude.
You were more than a friend, a gift from life,
someone very important to our family,
a presence that will never be forgotten.

Thank you for every shared smile,
for every moment you gave me,
all those memories remain forever
deep within my soul.
