Roy married Martha October 11, 1940 and truly adored his wife. He was a very loving father that spent countless hours with his children in their endeavors. Roy proudly served his country as a sergeant during World War II. Roy was involved in the D Day Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge and never missed an opportunity to talk about his war stories. He retired from Ludlow Saylor Wire Cloth Company at age 62 and enjoyed tinkering with things around the house and with his cars and was the neighborhood handyman. He and Martha loved to go ballroom dancing which absolutely thrilled him. Dearest husband, father, and grandfather, we will miss you and you will forever hold a place in our hearts. We know you are now in heaven with our Lord.
