Karen and Kyle, I worked with Scott for several years and he was always making everyone smile.  He was a great person and left this world way too soon.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Mom and Dad Menkhus, 
I will miss one of the best friends I have ever known.  It's been a long time, but we were key in one-an-others lives over the years.  Scott was the one gentle-man friend I could always count on. Late eighties-early nineties, he always had a safe short ride to sleep at my place on University Dr- I would see that dash of tuxedo coming or going as he worked and played. Then, once I'd moved to Texas and didn't always have an agreeable refuge with family when i visited stl, Scott allowed to me to stay with him - dumping my curling irons and shoes all over the floor (with no complaint from him whatsoever) He was truly that unique kind of person whose soul allowed him to permanently touch the lives of so many -- from the most simple to the deepest... I could go on... I will always carry his decency and generosity with me... We have always had Kevin in common, worked together, had many mutual friends and uncountable good times, yet the essence that is him is what we all get to keep with us and treasure the most!!!!  Thank you both for Scott

P.S. I'm pretty sure ya'll had something to do with my becoming a teacher as I try to grow up ;)

I was just told of Scott's passing. I am an old friend from many years ago. Scott and I worked together and car pooled together when we worked at Antoine's. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. I will include in Scott and his family in my prayers.

I saw Scott from across a baseball field a couple of years ago, but didn't get a chance to speak with him. But I will always remember him as a highschooler and my neighbor, growing up in U City.
