Scott was the beloved husband of Peggy (nee Parrish) Skredenske; loving father of Kurt (Lindsay) Skredenske and Kate (Butch) Gordon; devoted grandpa of Luke Skredenske; dear brother of Dirk (Diana) Skredenske, Brett (Kelly) Skredenske, Todd (Crystal) Skredenske, and Brad (Lori) Skredenske; dear brother-in-law of Brenda Ray Parrish; a dear uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin, coach, and a friend of too many to count.
Scott was enthusiastically adored by family, friends, and co-workers. He was a passionate Blues Hockey fan starting with the Blues inception in 1967. He was an avid golfer and was passionate about the sport. He loved all other St. Louis sports teams as well, (even those that left long ago.) His knowledge of historic sports trivia was second to none. He also was a huge fan of The Three Stooges, and he let that passion merge with his online and social media persona. He spent the major part of his professional life as a high-tech precision team member working locally in the defense manufacturing industry and was respected and loved by all he worked with.
His life revolved around family, friends, the historic "Dogtown" neighborhood, and the St. James the Greater Parish. He will be fondly remembered and missed by all for the unique way he touched people's lives.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott's memory to the BackStoppers would be greatly appreciated by his family.
Visitation will be Friday, October 3, from 4-8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 4 at 10:15am at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church, 6401 Wade Avenue 63139, Dogtown. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
