Suzanne was born on August 4, 1940 in Gering, NE. She attended school there and later met William Bryan Salstrom, whom she married January 22, 1960 in Scottsbluff, NE. She and Bryan welcomed their children, Steve and Carey in Scottsbluff. After her children were older, she pursued a career in Nursing and became an LPN. Later, they moved to Gillette, WY. Suzanne worked at a hospital as a nurse and later, after their divorce, Suzanne moved to Buffalo, WY, where she worked as a nurse and spent time with Carey and her family who lived there. After retirement, she volunteered at a local museum.
Suzanne loved to garden, spend time with her dogs and go on cruises with her friends. Carey passed away in 2020, and in 2022 she moved to Saint Louis, MO to be with Steve. She lived independently for a while but moved in with Steve and Kay because of her declining health. Through all of her health challenges, she still kept a good attitude and enjoyed the company of Steve and Kay.
Suzanne was funny, generous, loving, especially to her grandchildren. She had many friends from the places she worked and lived, along with life-long friends from the Scottsbluff-Gering area with whom she still kept in touch. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Suzanne is survived by her son, Steve Salstrom (Kay Jennings) of St. Louis, MO; son-in-law Pete Dube of Buffalo, WY; grandchildren Jessica (Dube) French (Caleb) of Buffalo, WY; Joshua (Lindsey) Dube of Sheridan, WY; and great-grandchildren Noah Parker French and Lennon Kaye Dube; sisters-in-law Shirley Carter (Salstrom) and Bonnie Bott. She was dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many in her lifetime.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Bott and Lydia (nee Knaub) Bott, her brothers Curtis, Willard, and Tim Bott, and her daughter Carey Dube.
Cremation took place through Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary in St. Louis. A celebration of life will be held in Buffalo, WY in early August of this year. Please contact Steve to express interest in attending.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ in Suzanne's memory.
