He attended St. Anthony of Padua Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. He and Betty were married on January 7, 1961 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, and together they raised 15 children. Bill worked for Unisys Corporation as a field service engineer and retired after 40 years.
In his younger years, Bill was passionate about aviation and joined the Civil Air Patrol. He loved flying and made many model airplanes that flew. He enjoyed going to airshows and took his kids to share his passion with them. Bill was a proud member of the Ted Drewes Hall of Fame, where he brought his kids and grandkids for many years. He was also known for his love of donuts, and would show up to visit his grandchildren with donuts to share. In retirement, Bill loved going to the casino and meeting new people. He and Betty loved road trips to Tunica and enjoyed driving around to sight-see. He was a founding member of the "Explorers Investment Club".
Bill was a devout Catholic his entire life and was a Eucharistic Minister. It was very important to him that three of his daughters serve as "Mary Ambassadors" and pass out scapulars to anyone willing to accept them. He and Betty put 15 kids through Catholic Grade School and High School.
Bill was loving, welcoming, generous, and fun. His "Dad Jokes" were legendary and enjoyed by all. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. The family is comforted by the fact that he is with his son, Brian.
