He held leadership positions such as a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts, Director of the St. Paul Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps as well as the Mounties Drum and Bugle Corps, instilling discipline, pride and teamwork in his kids and young people.
Bernie's greatest passion was collecting coins - spending countless hours meticulously organizing and appreciating his collection. He also cherished in his early years a love for homing pigeons. He enjoyed life's little pleasures, watching football, fishing & hunting with his sons, reading westerns or a game of cribbage with the kids, cherished family and friends.
As we say goodbye, we remember not only the years he lived - 93 full, meaningful, purpose-driven years - but the way he lived them: with honor, with humor, with love.
