

Died July 11, 2012 in St. Paul, MN after an extended illness. Born on June 3, 1935 in Stephen, MN to Anton and Elizabeth (Kroll) Szklarski. Preceded in death by his Parents & Brothers, Frank & Chester. Survived by Brother, John (Edwardine) of Stephen, Minnesota; Sisters, Christine (Thomas) Gerszewski of Warroad, Minnesota & Mary Ann (Joseph) Deschene of Argyle, Minnesota; Sister-in-Law, Dorothy Szklarski of Stephen, Minnesota; Nieces & Nephews. Brother Tony professed his first vows as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate on July 1, 1952. His work in building and maintenance of major Oblate institutions outside of Minnesota included Pass Christian, Mississippi, Carthage, Missouri; Austin, Minnesota; Belleville, Illinois; & Rome, Italy. Within Minnesota, he oversaw mission facilities in Richfield, Austin, St. Paul & Buffalo. Most recently, he was the Director of the Missionary Oblate residence in St. Paul since 2007. He had also spent 14 years in service to Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, MN. Visitation from 7 to 9 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Wulff Funeral Home 1485 White Bear Avenue in St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 16, 2012 by Father Lon Konold at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN. Burial will be at St. Henry's Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Christ the King Retreat Center, 621 South First Ave., Buffalo, MN 55313
