Florence E. Peine

It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Peine announces her passing September 5, 2018. Born July 12, 1914 in St. Paul, she is preceded in death by parents Edward and Florence Spiel, her husband Adolph "Al" Peine, brother Edward Spiel, and sister Katherine Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Beverly (Jim Kowalski), dear granddaughters Jennifer Kowalski and Lindsay Jansma (Tim Jansma), and special great grandson Samuel Wachowiak. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A lifelong resident of St. Paul, she attended Washington High School, and was employed by N.W. Bell Telephone Co. for many years. She will be remembered for her deep faith, her positive outlook, and her Coca Cola Cake! Special thanks to Dr. James Giefer, and also the staff of Johanna Shores Retirement Community for their loving care of Florence for the past 14 years. Funeral services 11 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church (395 W. Superior St., St. Paul) with visitation one hour prior to service Tuesday. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Johanna Shores Arbor or St. Stanislaus Church.
