Francis was the son of John and Mary Popelka and attended Minnesota School Academy for the Deaf. He worked for Seagate Tech in Shakopee for 35 years and was retired for his last 13 years of life. He will always be remembered for his kindness, helpfulness, and joyfulness. When he had the opportunity he always welcomed the challenge to play cribbage.
Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents, John and Mary Popelka; sister, Margaret Schaeve; brother, John Popelka
Francis will be deeply missed by his sons, Steve (Julie) and Jason (Jill); grandchildren, Melanie, Dylan, Carson, Bryce and Jonah.
Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 11am to 1:30pm at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul. Prayer service will be held at 1:30pm.
