Preceded in death by husband, Melvin; son, Chuck; parents, Carl and Thora Andre; and brother, Roger. Survived by children, Dan, Joan, Joel (Jennifer); grandsons, Nathan and Henry; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. After retiring as a bookkeeper from the Wilder Foundation, she volunteered with Junior Achievement at Parkway and Frost Lake Elementary Schools and volunteered at the Science Museum of Minnesota for nearly 20 years. Helen and Melvin enjoyed traveling with tour groups and elderhostels in China, Europe and throughout the US. She loved and provided daycare for her grandsons and remained active with many friends and church groups, including her longtime knitting group, sewing club, book club, and most recently her card club. Memorial service 11 AM Monday 12/12/16 at North Presbyterian Church, 2675 E. Highway 36, N. St. Paul with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private family interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
