Age 64 of Maplewood. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 4/19/12. Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Maren Akervik; brothers, Dale and Chuck Akervik and many beloved pets. Survived by loving husband of 46 years, Jim; children, Brian, Laura (Joe) Moreno, and Kari (Jon) Nybakke; grandchildren, Scott, Brandon, Victoria, Tyra, Hailey, and JJ; brother, Harold (Skip) Akervik. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, 4/24/12 at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard at Larpenteur, Maplewood. Vistation 5-8 PM Monday, 4/23/12 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Avenue, Saint Paul and 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
