

Jimmy was born in St. Paul, MN on March 29, 1946. He grew up in Staples, MN until the 7th grade, and then moved back to St. Paul. He graduated from Harding High School in 1964 and entered the Marine Corps in 1966. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968, was a marksman instructor upon his return, and was honorably discharged in 1969.
He worked at 3M for 35 years, where he met his wife, Kathleen. He loved hockey, baseball, softball, and his grandkids' activities. He coached baseball, fast-pitch softball, and women's slow-pitch, as well as playing himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Geneva; brother Bill; sister Barbara; and two nephews.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Lindau), of over 53 years; daughters Julie (Doug) Breault and Jenna (Jim) Svenkeson; and son Jason; grandchildren Kyle (Kelly), Kaylee, Joshua, Taya, Ethan, Emily and Shaun; great grandchildren Tristan and Odin; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 5-8 pm at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave. in St. Paul. A funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 9 at Lakeview Lutheran Church in Maplewood. Private inurnment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
