Joan Marie Wild

5th, 1934, and passed away in St. Paul, MN on April 9th, 2022.

Joan grew up in Marshall, MN working on her grandparent’s farm and at the gas station owned by her father. Joan shared her love of art through her watercolors and her work at Our Frame Shop and Gallery in Willmar. She loved hiking, golf, swimming, nature, and especially bird watching. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan was dedicated to her faith. She was kind, compassionate, and always thinking of how to help others. She was a hospice volunteer in Willmar, MN for many years. She was a faithful and active member with the Church of St Mary, teaching young people the Catholic faith, Lector, Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. After retirement, Joan and her husband, Forrest, of 64 years, traveled throughout the country, spending 9 winters in Arizona, before moving to Tucson Estates fulltime. After the death of her husband, she moved to Hudson, Wisconsin, to be closer to her children.

Joan is survived by 7 children, Deanne, Paul (Brenda), Mary (Julie), Mark (Heather), Steven

(Stacy), Barbara (Christine), Jeffrey (Anne), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was

preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, her brother, Gordon Sanders, sister in laws, Theresa

(Sanders), and Myrt (Sanders), brother in laws, Curt Armstrong, Richard Buysee, and daughter in law,

Linda (Steven). She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

A Mass of Christian Burial with interment to follow at church will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Mary, 713 12th St. SW, Willmar, MN 56201. Visitation will begin at church at 9:30 am with Rosary at 10:30 am. Luncheon will follow back inside at the church.
