I met Johnnie in 1976 when I started work for the then Highway Department. He showed me the ropes in the Chem Lab. What our supervisors liked or disliked. Where the cafeteria and the Credit Union was located in the Transportation Building. At the time neither of us knew how much the Credit Union would enter into Johnnie's life. Johnnie also showed me "The Tavern" (Minnehaha Tavern).  We had many nights of playing pinball and eating Ronally's pizza. Still the best pizza I ever had. Over the years we bowled , played softball with the Magic Rats, listen to Springstein together. When Cyndi and myself got married we wanted John to be a groomsman. We always had a good time together and even though we didn't get together often after he left Mn/DOT I have a warm spot in my heart for Johnnie and will miss him. I will remember John as he was then. My prayer is that God would grant all who miss John, peace,grace and healing as we remember John with fond memories. I know it will be hard for me not to smile and laugh when I think of Johnnie. Johnnie's spirit still lives on.

I worked with John at MnDOT for many years. I've known him in good times and difficult times and will always remember his good nature.  I'm sure he is at peace in the arms of our Lord. Your family is in my prayers.

The call came from my Sis, Maggie, with the shocking news of finding our Baby  Brother. 

It's hard to believe I just can't pick up the phone and hear his voice. He'd always call me during the Kentucky Derby, asking if I had my hat on! 

He looked so much like our Dad here; almost can't tell them apart.

I look forward to the Resurrection promised in God's Word, when all of our loved ones will be reunited in due time, right here on the Earth (Revelation 21: 3, 4).

John was exceptional as my roommate before he got married. He had tremendous knowledge about Bituminous Mixtures, beauitiful penmanship, Journalism, and a favorite Caddie for some of St. Paul's best golfers!

48 years is a long time to know someone. 48 irreplaceable years.  Put your beautiful mind to rest now John and be assured that I will seek you out on "the other side." We met John so many years ago on a visit to see our Gibbons & Ringold family in MN. We have great memories of him. He made us feel welcome and at home in the short time we were there. We are keeping Andrea and James and Marianne as well as John's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

Special love to all of you! I will keep you close in my heart and sending healing thoughts! I am sure that John has found peace in heaven and will forever be your guardian angel Andrea and Jim....he loved you so much!! I hope you can find comfort in wonderful memories!  love you!

May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time in your life. We all yearn for better conditions. It is refreshing to know that God's word speaks of a time when all sorrows will be gone and that mankind will live in beautiful surroundings with nothing to fear.- Isaiah 65:17,21-24, will shed light on this.

I have fond memories of Uncle John growing up he lovingly called me KJ. His legacy to this world is two great kids! He will be missed. bless you uncle John I hope Grandma and Aunt Jessi greeted you on the other side!
