

On July 18th, 2025 Judith Marie Hoffmann (nee Scribner) peacefully passed away at the age of 78. Judith was born on December 02, 1946 to Worrell and Iola Scribner in Britton, South Dakota. From there the family eventually settled in St. Paul Park, where she graduated from St. Paul Park High School. Judy went on to attend University of Wisconsin River Falls where she graduated with a Major in Education/Music. While at River Falls, Judy met Keith Hoffmann and they were later married on December 30th 1967. They built house in St. Paul, MN and started a family and had 3 daughters. From there they moved to N. St. Paul and eventually settled in Afton, MN.
During her lifetime, Judy loved teaching and was an elementary teacher at Pine Bend Elementary, St. Bernard’s, Maternity of Mary, St. Peter’s, and Blessed Sacrament where she had also been a Principal. She continued her education and obtained a Masters and PhD in Elementary Education. Judy loved playing the piano, gardening, spending time with her grandkids and friends and loved painting, which she won awards for.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Worrell and Iola; and brother-in-law, Bill Zvonek.
She is survived by her husband Keith; sister, Marjorie (Jones); daughters, Anne (Steve) Scott, Gretchen (Bob) Anderson, & Karen (Zach Dickenson) Mollner; grandchildren, Kent (Meghan), Seth, Ethan (Julie), Sarah, Rose, Madilynn, Molly, Jack; great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-laws, Ken & Darlene, John & Sharon, Jan & Jerry, Bob & Laura, Mary & Bill; cousins, and many more family and close friends.
Pallbearers to be Ken Hoffmann, Jerry Hoffmann, Steve Scott, Bob Anderson, Bruce Lodgaard, Zach Dickenson.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm at Wulff Funeral Home, St. Paul on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Wulff Funeral Home, St. Paul at 12:30 pm with visitation beginning at 11:30 am.
Family would ask that in lieu of flowers people make a donation to Alzheimer’s research in Judy’s memory.
Private burial will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
