Ken was born July 21, 1936 in St. Paul, MN to Hector & Margaret (Kohn). He graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall in 1954. After graduation he joined the US Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. He married the love of his life, Marlys (Tschida) on June 13, 1959. Together they raised 8 children in St. Paul.
Ken worked as a bricklayer throughout his career and there are many buildings standing today in the Twin Cities attesting to his craft. He enjoyed camping with his family, hunting moose, fishing trips up to Northern Lights Lake in Canada and spending time at his Sturgeon Lake cabin. He was the Assistant Scout Master of Presentation Boy Scout Troop #361. He was a man of strong faith, attending church and adoration weekly. His hobbies included gardening, puzzles, crossword games and candle making. He loved telling stories and his positive attitude radiated outward to all.
Ken’s passion was watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and be able to share his life with them. He was truly loved and adored by them. He will be deeply missed.
