Kevin "Og" Dwight Olson

Kevin was born on February 13th, 1955, in St. Paul, MN. He spent his life dedicated to enriching everyone around him with joy and laughter. He loved being outdoors soaking in the sun, taking the family across the country to theme parks and fairs along with countless hours in the pool. He was a busy man and wore many hats over the years, but you could always find him on the weekends sitting outside on ground with an old steak knife… those weeds never stood a chance.

While in his 20’s, Kevin worked at the West Publishing Company, where he met his wife, Sandy. Over their 43 years of marriage they had 4 children together, Alicia (Matt), Stephanie, Brian (Anne) and Nicole. Through them, he loved nothing more than to spend as much time with his 4 grandchildren, Brennan (Nicole’s son), Ethan & Madelyn (Alicia’s son and daughter) and Coleman (Brian’s son) as much he possibly could.

In celebration of life and to say a final goodbye to one amazing man, the wake will be at Wulff funeral home located at 1485 White Bear Ave, St Paul, MN 55106 on Thursday the 21st of July from 4-8pm. The visitation and funeral will be the following day on Friday the 22nd of July at Eastern Heights Lutheran Church located at 616 Ruth St N, St Paul, MN 55119 starting at 10 am and 11 am respectively.

We invite you to these informal gatherings, encouraging you to wear your favorite sports jersey/attire, as Kevin was an avid fan of the Twins/Vikings/Wild etc. If you find yourself a rival of these, one-time passes have been granted.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to aid in funeral expenses and his grandchildren’s education. If you have a story to share about Kevin, we would absolutely love to hear them and have set aside time during the funeral service. Roasts are welcome, he can take it.
