Maureen was the youngest child of Kenneth and Frances (Walters) Webber, and being the youngest suited her just fine. Maureen was observant, expressive, and had a way of making her thoughts known, sometimes without saying a single word. Anyone who knew her knows that an eye roll from Maureen could communicate full paragraphs.
Maureen was raised in the Catholic Church and remained rooted in her faith throughout her life. She was baptized on January 15, 1955, received her First Holy Communion at age eight, and was confirmed at age nine. Faith mattered to her, but so did kindness, honesty, and showing up for people when they needed her.
In 1975, Maureen married James Dimock. Through that marriage, she became stepmother to Kimberly and Melissa, a role she embraced with love. Later, she and Jim welcomed two children together, Jodie and Jim. Maureen was loving, loyal, stubborn as can be, and completely unforgettable.
Maureen loved to laugh and have fun. She made people feel comfortable, included, and at home just by being herself. If you sat at her table long enough, you were family. She was someone people trusted, someone you could confide in, and she carried those confidences with care.
Maureen found peace in the simple things outdoors, tending her garden and flowers, watching the birds at her many feeders, and enjoying visits from deer and especially eagles. Fishing on a quiet lake or settling in with a good book were two of her favorite ways to spend time. She also had a special fondness for spontaneous trips to Menards, which somehow always felt like a little adventure. More than anything, she adored her grandchildren. To watch their games, performances, and everyday moments brought her endless pride and joy. She never missed a chance to show up for them, or to tell anyone nearby how wonderful they were.
Maureen spent many years working at Olive Garden, where she became much more than an employee. She was a familiar face, a steady presence, and someone coworkers and regular customers looked forward to seeing. There, Maureen built lasting friendships and left a mark by being warm, welcoming, and genuine.
Family was everything to Maureen. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Jodie and son-in-law Dan; her son Jim and daughter-in-law Nicole; and her grandchildren Hannah, Owen, Laura, Mitchell, and Jimmy. She is also survived by her sisters Colleen and Kathy; brother-in-law Bob; her brother Pat; her sister-in-law Karen; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Frances Webber; her husband Jim Dimock; and her nephew Dickie (Chopper) Swenty.
After a courageous fight and a life full of light, Maureen lives on in every smile, memory, and act of kindness she inspires.
A funeral service for Maureen will be held at 12 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Wulff Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 10 am.
