Dear Mom, it's been 10 long years since you've moved on to Heaven. But, I know you really come and visit all the time. You leave hints and signs all the time. So does Dad...Laura and I got 3 signs from you one day within a couple hours.. even a little girl in the grocery store with the beaded crotcheted a socks you used to make! She wasn't even 2 years old. In 2 days it will be 30 years since the first time they "caught your eye" and got the "bug" in you to make them. That's a big anniversary coming up! The wreaths we made 21 years ago for the cemetery are still holding up, amazingly! We did a good job for amateurs. Just can't believe you've been gone this long. It's now been 5 years since I've seen you & Dad.. that's getting so long too. But I will never forget. I know you guys are ok and Heaven is Paradise. Love you from here to Heaven.  Babe

Dear Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas!!  I have written 3 times already since 3 am and cant figure out where my messages are going. So, let's see if this one and the 6am one show up. Love You Both! Babe. 

Hey Mom, Wow, hard to believe it has been 8 years! We all miss you and Dad SO much!Things just aren't the same without you. The multiple phone calls, even the silly ones that were 1 minute long, are missed. And our shopping trips. Years and years of shopping trips...The Bag Ladies! So many memories, I could write books. One of my "sticks "is down in the laundry room. I think it's been there over 10-15 years. About a week ago, I was down there doing wash, and picked it up. I still have some of the moves. Of course my basement ceiling is pretty low so there's a lot I couldn't even try, but it was fun. Oh, Ruger thought he found a playmate outside. But, it just kept playing dead. Yup, a possum. My guys got rid of him/her, but it was back the next night, again playing dead, haha. Hopefully it's gone for good now. Kind of like Dads squirrels. So, we have a "bug" going around our house. Hopefully it's gone soon. We have been pretty lucky up until now, so we really can't complain that much. Please keep sending signs and visiting! We love it when you come! You are always Welcome!! Dear Mom, Its so hard to believe its been 7 years. 7 real long years without you. I still reach for the phone almost every night to call you before I go to bed just to check in with "the boss" as Dad used to call you. I bet he's still calling you that up in Heaven. And all the other nicknames he had for you.. Especially Isabelle..that's the one he used all the time. I don't think they have anything you need to go shopping for up in Heaven..it didn't look like it with what I saw, so, he wouldn't be calling you "the bag lady" like when we came home from one of our marathon shopping trips. He would just hold the door open for us as we made trip after trip in from the car into the house and he would ask if we left any bags at the store. I miss all those weekly shopping trips. It was just you and me, and it would turn into the entire day with chow mein or KFC for dinner. And we never ran out of things to talk about. Even though we were only 2 miles apart, I had to call when I got home. If I forgot, you were on the phone calling me. I do the same with my kids too..even though they are adults now too. Mom, they have turned out to be great people. We talk about you and Dad all the time. You guys are definitely missed. And I know you are definitely around us... We see all the signs you send us. I know you are happy, healthy and safe in Heaven with Dad and the boys and everyone else that passed on. You had a few more added this past year, but I'm sure you welcomed them all. I'm sure you will celebrate with Doris and family tomorrow for her birthday. Its also Rugers 3rd birthday. I hope you look over me Thursday as I have my proceedures, I'm not thrilled that I can't have my own Dr them. I will sneak my Angels with me like the last time, in my sock. Dear Mom, Happy Happy ☺ Birthday 🎂 To You! Wow, can't believe it's your 93rd! I triple checked this time, haha. I bet you are having your favorite Angel Food cake. But, no one can make you one as great as I did...with the mint, peppermint, almond, lemon, vanilla, or whatever random flavor we decided to try. Once a week, and of course, they were always different colors! Always a Masterpiece for My Mom! What I wouldn't give to see your smile if I could bring you one today! I miss you so much! Even though we talked multiple times a day, every once in a while, I come up with a question that only you can answer. Although it's only been like 6 months since I got to see you for a brief period, I wish I could see you again, but not that way. But, I know you and Dad are so happy and healthy now. That really makes me feel comfortable with everything. Everything here is good. All four of us back in the house. It's so nice to see the kids getting along, and Laura so happy again. It's like everything went full circle, and starting over again, which is cool. Life is good, but, would be much better with both of you here!! Love and Miss You Both SO MUCH! Dear Mom, It's SO hard to believe that in a few hours it will be the exact time you passed away 5 YEARS ago! That's 5 long years that you have been missed. You are spoken about daily. A lot of people don't believe me that I got to see you for a short time in August, but we know I got to see you and Dad. So, I know both of you are happy ☺ and healthy. But, I sure wish I could have stayed a little longer and talked more.  I am doing better, learning to take better care of myself. Joe and the kids are good. House is full again but it's fun to have them both home. Wouldn't want it any other way! Laura really helped out during the day when I got home. Our dog (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) Ruger 
turns one year old on Doris' birthday tomorrow. Tony is getting him his first bone and Laura is getting him puppy ice cream. Crazy kids. He's probably 100 pounds by now, dark brown, spoiled rotten! Keeps me on my toes. You wouldn't believe that after all this time I still go to pick up the phone to call you a few times every day. Just for silly little stuff. I would tell you I rolled 12 pairs of Joe's socks and 24 for Tony when I did wash. You would get the biggest kick out of it. I miss all those calls. I know you are watching over all of us. Hey Mom, Tomorrow marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Challenger exploding in space. I'm sure you remember the day as well as I do. You were at my house, the trailer, watching Laura, as I had just miscarried that morning. I had the perfect person taking care of me.my BFF, Mom, and really experienced in what was happening to me. I could never repay you for all the things you did for me! I love 💘 You!!! I just saw Donna Mae's obit in the paper today-she passed on your birthday..But it seems Aunt Dolly is still around....she will out live us all! Love Ya! 

Hey Mom...HAPPY 92ND BIRTHDAY!!!!!  WOW!!!  HARD TO BELIEVE YOU ARE 92 TODAY!!!!  I know what we would be eating here..KFC!!  There aren't too many around any more, but we would find some for you! We just had some Hearthside on Saturday and they weren't as good as they used to be. Don't think we will be going back there again. I start physical therapy tomorrow on my knee. It was doing pretty good, until we made a long trip on Saturday-only an hour short of the Canadian border or so. We made it up there with no stops. I think the 3 of us were too excited to stop and pee. We haven't told hardly anyone, except the kids, but we went ahead and got another dog. A 10 week old dog (10 weeks on Saturday 1/19/19) dark dark brown Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He was in a litter of 7 boys. They named them all after guns/hunting items. His name is Ruger-apparently after some gun brand or name.  Although he doesn't recognize it yet. We are working on it. He's a pretty mellow dog most of the time. Likes to chew whatever he can-the glass on the coffee table, the plastic on the kennell, the shoes, the table, my crutch, etc. He was afraid to go down the hallway on Saturday, but now sneaks down there and pees. But is getting better about that and goes to patio doors to go outside. Tony calls him a "peeing machine."  Tony says Ruger is his "son."  So we shouldn't ask him for any other kids, lol. Tony has been sleeping on the floor with him at night cuz he doesn't want to kennel him. But, after the guys go to work, I kennel him and go back to bed for a few hours. They leave- Tony at 5:30am, Joe at 6:30am. I go back to bed at 9am. Well, that's about it around here. Oh, Ruger's birth day is the same as Doris'.  November 10th, but his is 2018! I had a laugh about that one...So I hope you are enjoying some Angel Food cake with some strawberries and whip cream up there today-and of course that is all sugar free so you don't even need to prick your finger...ENJOY AND LOVE YOU MY BFF!!!! 

Dear Mommy, 
Today marks 4 long years since you passed away.  It seems like it's been forever since you have been gone.  I still go to the phone at least once or twice a day to call you over some silly little thing like I used to.  I miss all those silly calls.  We would talk up to 10-12 times a day once I wasn't working anymore.  I miss that contact with you.  I know you know how much I talk to you and ask so much from you in my prayers.  I don't know what I would do if I didn't know for sure you and Dad are both Angels now.  I see you two in my bedroom, but you always leave before I can reach out and touch you...but I always see a glimpse of you going down the hallway.. kinda like watching you go down your hallway...sounds crazy but that's what I see.  I know you come and visit..and I know Mylee can see you..she sits and watches you, cocks her head from side to side, doesn't bark anymore, but did at first, and just watches.  It's the funniest thing to see.  We just watch her and say "Hi Mom and Dad, c'mon and watch TV with us" and you stick around for usually 30 minutes or so.  Mylee sits there the entire time.. until you leave I guess.  And I know you have been really good at helping all my friends with my prayers for them.  So many lately that the prayers have worked for!  And tomorrow- Saturday is Doris' birthday!  If I am right, she should be 84!  Give her a hug and a smooch from us!  I guess you wanted to be there for her birthday huh?  She passed the May 9th before (2014) and you on November 9, 2014, so it would have been the first birthday (November 10) you two wouldn't have shared together...and this just worked out that you were reunited in Heaven...not that I wanted you to go...I certainly didn't.  I would have taken care of you to infinity and beyond had it worked out!!  It was my honor to do that and my honor to be your daughter.  Give Dad and my brothers big hugs and kisses,  Love, Babe

Hey Mom, 
It's been a while since I have written to you. I have sent messages to Dad, but I can't believe it's been since February to you...But, you know we talk all the time. Just want to ask if you will just watch over us a little bit more in the upcoming months. You know we got a few things that are changing, and we can use all the protection and good vibes we can get.  We are hoping that our "Luck, usually all bad" doesn't all turn into all bad. But, one thing I am pretty sure isn't the best. I guess the waiting game is the worse part of it. We never know when we make a change if we are making the right move for us or not. So, we are making another change, which we know one thing is for the best, well, it has more than one good points, more like a few. Just hoping the timing works out. I don't think it's the best, but, we have to take the chance when we get it, and that's right now. The kids are pretty good. Since Laura had her surgery, finally, she has been feeling pretty good. Tony is working a full time day job besides his cleaning and just loves it. He's using lots of different tools, and said he will retire there. I told him Poppi is probably happy he is learning how to use all those tools, and how to build roofs, trusses, etc. Well, it's almost 4am, so I am about to go to bed. Just saw Joe off to work. Dear Mom, I wrote you a note on my birthday to just say Thanks. But, for some reason it didn't post. Remember I always gave you one red rose   on my birthday. Well, it was way too cold to go anywhere that day. There were warnings to stay at home if you could. But, you know I sent it in my heart! I am really missing you..cuz right about now, we would be eating something crazy and I would be staying over so we could watch tv together!  I've been watching the Olympics. That was always something we did together, since July 1984. It's the Winter ones now, so we would be amazed by the womans, mens, pairs and hockey skating. Not to mention the skiing and snowboarding. But your "Little Scottie" is MCing the skating which is pretty neat! The skaters are doing things he said he wouldn't even try! I sure miss you sitting next to me, commenting on the skaters, the costumes,the audience, the judges, etc. I'm sure you have a better view than I do now though. Hey Mom, well, you know I'm not good at these computer things. Don't even have a computer. Just had to get a new one of my "little machines" as you called it. My kindle. It's my 3rd. It's the only thing that has kept me busy since you have gone. This is my 3rd. So, that's saying how much I miss you. I'm kinda glad the phone is broke. I still used to jump for it, hoping it was you. But, everyone else calls on my cell. You were the reason we kept the home phone.We just haven't changed it since. This new kindle seems to change my words randomly. Haven't figured out why yet. We say we are electronically and technolically challenged. My other post was supposed to say Mylee sees you, and sits in the corner, staring at the ceiling. I don't know how that got screwed up. My tummy is upset today, but obviously I know why. Hey Mom, can't believe it's been 3 years. Sometimes it's like yesterday, sometimes it seems like forever! I remember everything that happened that day. Replay it in my head everyday. I think you planned it like that- no one was in with you when you took your last breath. You didn't want us to see, if there was more than you simply stop breathing. Kinda like Dad. Cuz the way I figure, it probably happened 15 minutes before Laura went in with your meds. She was letting me and Matt sleep. I sat there with you quite a while, and talked and prayed and cried. But,I knew you were back with Dad, and happy about that. I see you at my house. Both of you. I will be dreaming of you, wake up, and see the backs of you going down my hallway. But, I can never catch you. Mylee watchs you too, she will sit down, state at the corner of the ce, and just moves her head back a forth, like she's watching you...busted!! BUT, she's not talking!!!  And all the pennies, squirrels, feathers, cardinals, Bella ringing,,etc. Keep those signs coming. So please watch out for Laura again. She's been  under the weather again. I told her to talk and pray to you. She still says "Jesus, Mary, Mercy" that you taught them as toddlers. So,I don't know if I will get out to the cemetery tomorrow,  am going to try. And I have some new flowers for you and Dad too! So, please keep watching over all of us. I refuse to say Happy Anniversary, cuz I would so much rather have you here with me. My Nana, it's hard to live without you. I just imagined you would never leave. Everyday, after all this time I still reach for the phone to call you, to hear your voice, to tell you about my day. I miss you more today then yesterday but I'll miss you more tomorrow.  Today is St Patty's Day- hope your enjoying your Creme DE Menthe up there.  I'll be having a shamrock shake for you:) My health has been a Rollercoaster lately, hoping to finally be on the mend. Dear Mom and Dad, just want to wish you both a Merry Christmas. It's 3rd without Mom and 14th without Dad. That just doesn't seem possible. Every one is hard. This is the first one since Mom passed that I am having the in-laws over on Christmas Eve. And it's the first one I have decorated or put up a tree since Mom has passed. We actually had to buy a new one. I have most of your Christmas stuff, but I only put a few things out since I don't have a lot of room. George Kerbel passed away on December 10th, but you know that. I had just mailed him a Christmas card a week before, so he should have got it. Laura's been pretty sick still. Please keep watch over her and guide the doctors to help her get better. Dear Mom, I can hardly believe it's been two years since you left us. Sometimes it feels like a long time ago, and sometimes it feels like yesterday. The only thing that always feels the same is how much I miss you! It's like part of my "fun" is gone since you've been gone. Sometimes I just feel lost without you. Anytime I see/do anything or any new "gossip" comes up, I want to call and tell you, just like we used to do. I miss those 6-10 phone calls every day. I miss you more and more everyday. Its hard to believe 2 years ago you were at home with me and dude and mom. I know you arent suffering or fighting anymore but i just need you. Dear Mom, I am really missing you a lot. Especially now that the Olympics started last Friday. We had watched them off and on when I was growing up, but do you remember watching the Olympics in August 1984? That's when we started watching them together every 4 years. That was the start of Laura's colic, and no sleep for us. So, at that time the only thing on tv during the night was the Olympics. So that's what we watched. And then again, four years later, August 1988, when Tony was born, same thing. Then we just kept up the tradition. So, the last ones we watched were in 2012. I never really thought about it until tonight when the girls gymnastics team took gold. Just like when we watched. They were crying happy tears, I was crying because I miss you tears. I miss you so so much. I wish heaven had a phone, I have so much I wanted to tell you. I still pick up the phone to call you and then realize I can't. Dear Mom and Dad, Sorry I missed your birthday and anniversary. But, my kindle, or as Mom called it, "machine" pooped out on me after 3 1/4 years. No one fixes them, so I had to get a new one. Dear Mom, HAPPY 89 TH BIRTHDAY!! What we wouldn't do to have you here to celebrate another birthday with us!! But, we know that you had missed Dad for those 12 years and are making up for them. I guess he's up there making you an Angel food cake now. So, did you tell him how I would make them different colors and sometimes add mint or vanilla or lemon flavors? I bet you get all the choices now. Can't believe you've been gone over 14 months. Sometimes I wonder how we are doing it. We are all four getting along great with Laura back home. Wish we would have done it right away. She's doing great. Got a promotion and went to doctor for Crohns. Hopefully this will help. It's tough on her-you know, just like when I started out. But she's handling it pretty well. She just did a two week run of work everyday. Tony is great as always. He's been busy cleaning, he added another one. Joe's on a short "bid" ends next week- thank God! Has overnight with bad roads and overnight driving. He's going back in warehouse 5 days a week. I have back injection Monday then maybe try to kill that nerve in back again. I trust this Dr much more. More kind, much gentler. Older and more experienced. My regular back injections don't hurt as much...But, my back so bad now those don't help much. So, blow out ALL those candles Mom. Remember we all love and miss you and Dad SO SO SO MUCH!!! It's been over a year without you and I miss you more today than yesterday, time isn't helping or healing. I know you're watching over me or I wouldn't have made it this far. I'm doing so good at work, I got my promotion that I worked my butt off for! I wish so badly I could call and tell you & hear the happiness in your voice.  I never thought living without you would be my reality.  The memories are all I have left of you. Christmas is less than a week away but it's not the same, don't feel like putting up a tree or decorating. I told mom & dad I want a puppy I'm so lonely without you & dude I don't even know what to do with myself half the time. I'm trying so hard to get my life together but my heart is still so broken without you. I miss my  best friend, I could tell you anything the good the bad the ugly - you'd listen, give me advice  (even thou I didn't always use it) give me a hug & I knew somehow things would be okay. I need you Nana- why did you have to go?  It's not fair. Mom & I are missing you & hurting so badly. We talk about you & fight the tears, laugh at funny memories and stories of you. I swear my car is in auto-pilot to the house, I still have to remind myself that's not where I live anymore, not where I call home. Mom & Dad have been so good to me since I've been here; dad makes dinner & I eat when I get home, we're getting along for the most part  (you know my stubborn self), even me & Tony get along except when he feeds dingo crickets when I'm home lol. Dear Mom and Dad, It's so hard this time of year with out you guys here. I think last year I was kinda in shock and just went through the motions. This year it is really hitting home that both of you are gone and not coming back. I haven't put up any decorations and really don't know if I will. Last year Kim had it at her house because I asked her. It worked out best for her because Dolly is living there. So, she's having it again this year. Dolly has a hospice service, but I don't think she is at the end of her time yet. She's 91 or 92 looks frail but can shower etc herself. So, I had all kinds of plans for Christmas this year. We weren't getting that much for the house, but we were going to finally be able to catch up on all our bills and pay off a couple, help Laura get her teeth fixed, get Joe's truck fixed, get the kids what they want for Christmas and Joe and I were really going to take a real vacation in February. He has two weeks coming then and we were going to Arizona. Somewhere by his folks. But, now since the money is tied up for God knows how long, that probably won't happen. Have to get reservations and deposits in by a certain date, etc and we won't make the date. Dad used to laugh that Joe traded in vehicles when the ash trays were full. But, he still has his 2004 Ram truck and we want to keep it. But, it now needs almost 3,000 in work soon. Hopefully it makes it til the money comes or we are S.O.L. His truck hasn't been too bad and it's paid off. Don't want another car payment now. So, even though the will spelt everything out, some how it was decided to go through a lawyer and probate and now the money is hung up on some thing else. We signed the original papers on September 1st, so I figured by the end of December would be a safe time to promise paying people. The buyer was in a hurry to get in there. Dear Mom, So I will try once again. This is number 7. It's 2:30p.m. The first one I wrote I finished at 3:30a.m. the 9th. That was the first anniversary of your passing. Anniversaries are supposed to be for celebrating. This is nothing to celebrate. So I am sorry we had to put Dude down. He was 17+ and was just getting so sick. Laura was doing her best but he was heart broken like the rest of us. He laid in your room most of the time. I don't think he could see or hear well at the end. Laura was only at the house one night without him. She spent six days in Regions with bowel obstructions and diagnosed with Crohns disease. She will see G.I. Dr. In January. She's sticking to her diet and doing pretty good. Joe has arthritis in his knee. He also heard a "snap" one day getting into his truck. Waiting to see what happens. Tony doing good. I have been having a string of migraines again. Had a cortisone injection in my back a week ago Monday. Waiting for it to work. Laura came right from Regions to our house. It's working out great. No fighting at all. Nice to have her back and we don't have to worry about her. She's working on a promotion at work. I haven't written but talk to you all the time. I felt you with me when I made the raspberry jelly. It turned out really good. Wish you were here. Keep sending me signs. Love from here to Heaven. AV-U. Babe

Dear Mom, Forgot to tell you- although I already wrote this too..on Halloween Joe and I were passing out one of your faves-Rice Krispie bars! I had four boxes of 80. Had everything set up. Joe had to hold Mylee since she was going crazy each time someone was at the door. The first set of kids came at six p.m. six little Hmong boys in costumes, all said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You". So, I went and sat down, had my paper ready, wrote ALL that Dow, then grabbed the phone. Started dialing the phone...got to the 489- and then said to Joe "who am I going to call? She's not there?" It was such a habit. Of course I didn't do it last year. Last year MJ came over that night so I could get a night off. That was a bad weekend for you with the meds. But when I got back on Sunday I fed you all your faves. I am glad I did because you slipped into the coma late that night. Just had to tell you about Halloween night. Love You. Babe. 10:20 a.m.

Dear Mom, It's been like 33 weeks and 1 day, if I have been keeping track correctly. Each day it just gets harder. I still have 6 voice messages from you ok on my answering machine and listen to them just to hear your voice again. I thank God I have that. I just miss you so much. I haven't been feeling good lately and know you would be right here helping me. Joe's been just an Angel but, he's not my mom. Please help me get through this. I can't believe its been 7 months without you. Its not fair- I want you back so badly. I miss telling you about my day, "people watching" out the windows, listening to the police scanner, having dinner with you or just bs-ing and hanging out. 30 years went so fast, I'd give anything for more time and memories with you. You're truly missed but many. Me and mom have good days but mainly sad days missing you. Everyday we think of you, talk about you or we are reminded about a funny memory or story with you and start laughing or we pick up the phone to tell you about something. Dear Mom, It's been a while since I have written to you but, you know I talk to you constantly all day, every day. This has been one of the worse weeks I have had since you have been gone. Today marks six months. It's also my first Mother's Day without you here. I have been dreading the day all week. I want my mom here with me. I know how selfish that is. Life is just so hard without you. There wasn't anything I couldn't or didn't tell you. We must have talked on the phone at least 15-20 times a day. Sometimes for hours and not really about anything that important, just because. Then we would start it all over the next day. We talked about things I wouldn't tell my closest friends. Whenever I needed someone, you were the one I needed. When I was young and so sick, you never left my side, never gave up on me. You taught me not to use my disease as an excuse and roll with the punches. Later on, when you got sick, you showed me how to do it again. You never stopped fighting. You were one strong woman. You took care of dad for those 22 years he needed you. When Matt was little and sick you never left him. You pulled all of us through. You were there for the births of both my kids-something you said was the most beautiful thing you ever got to experience. We laughed that you weren't there for the conceptions. You must know my kids are really having a terrible time dealing with both you and Poppi gone. Any signs you can send will help. Tony is already talking about "Nana' s raspberries." So, we are holding you to your promise that you are on our left shoulders, we know you are there because we feel you there. So please don't move. Happy Mothers Day!!! It's hard to believe you've been gone for 4 months. The days pass by, the time goes forward but my heart and life will never be the same. 
I miss you more than anything, I'd give anything for one more conversation, one more dinner, one more trip to get you a hair cut, just one more memory with you. I came to visit you with mom finally, I'm sorry it took me so long- the harsh reality of seeing your name engraved on that store- stung so hard and deep. I never imagined I'd be out there to visit you, to bring you pretty flowers.. There isn't a tree by you or you'd have a wind chime. Seeing my mom miss her best friend breaks my heart- shes hurting badly too- send her a sign. I miss my friend, our talks or the times you'd rub my back, I even miss our little bickering times. I continuously pick up the phone to call you and tell you about my day at work or to see if you needed or wanted anything on my way home. You sure were loved Nana. I know the day you left Poppi met you at the gates and greeted you with a big smooch, I know you're no longer in pain or suffering, I know you're with Poppi again- I know how much you missed him and ached for him. I'm more than thankful for the thirty years I did have with you, the times you loved me when I didn't love myself, the time i hit rock bottom but you still stood by me. I'm sad that you won't be here to see me get married or one day hold my babies. You were more than just a grandma to me. Nobody will ever understand the special relationship we had. Dear Mom and Dad, even though I haven't written in a while, you both know I talk to you both everyday. I still go to call you after I finish folding the socks to tell you how many pair Joe had and how many Tony had- just like I used to do. Everyday there's so many times I tell Joe I have to call and tell one of you one thing or another. It seems like there's always something popping up that I would call you for or I would wait for your call for. It's high school hockey tourney time. I miss those 3 years you and I went for the two games Weds, Thursday and Friday at 11am and 1pm each of those days. We would watch 15 games of hockey in 4 days! You and I always cheered for the smaller underdog schools. Usually the winners were the big private schools that would "buy" kids into their program. We would get mad. Well, this year Joe and I were rooting for Duluth East (who got into tourney by a fluke win) to beat St. Thomas. That was a pretty far stretch. It ended up in overtime. For one reason only...and that would be you- Duluth East won! Boy it sure helps to have a direct line to heaven via my own two angels-My Mom and My Dad! I've heard you talking to me. I have seen you both. I just wish you would just stay a little longer. Keep sending us those signs and all those pennies! I miss you both so much! Love, Babe

Dear Mom and Dad, I am writing to ask for a special favor. I know how much you thouroughly enjoyed your police radio, and now I am enjoying it just as much. I did find out one of Lou' s daughter's lives in the "1500" block of apartments on Albemarle that you always heard of. Found out Rhonda is on her 3rd round of breast cancer and there's really not much they can do for her. Also that Lynn has 4 aneurysms in her brain besides her Crohns. Well I followed a fire last nite and the dad saved all but 4 yr old daughter who passed away. Please look after her. Her father is just devastated because he saved everyone else. Laura and I have been getting these "cycle cluster migraines" per my neurologist and they just won't let up. I am on the 7th of 10 days of Prednisone-no relief I site. Saw Dr. Stoltenberg early today and he wanted to know more about you. Said you were "one hell of a lady since you kept taking me to doctors until you got diagnosis and Laura and I turned out so well. No regrets-his words- had to laugh at that. Mine and Laura's saying that we will never have. Please give some comfort to this little girl and watch out for Rhonda and Lynn. Will write soon. Dear Mom and Dad, I think of you both everyday but even more today. I am thanking you both for the gift of life. I know you both went through so much to carry me through full term. You finally got your little girl and sister for Matt. I don't think I could have kept trying as you two did. I hope you both enjoyed meeting my 8 siblings in heaven and they are thoroughly enjoying you both as much as we did when you both were here. We all miss you SO much. Dear Mom and Dad, boy this really really sucks that you are both gone. I still wait for my phone to ring umpteen times a day, but it never does. I go to call you umpteen times a day, but then I remember that won't work either. I made your favorite tonight-egg salad-just getting it chilled. If you were here I would make you whatever you wanted to eat. I would also be making you a birthday cake-I would even buy a new Angel food pan if that's the kind you wanted. Guess I over-used the Angel food pan you gave me. That must have made at least 200 cakes over the years and finally was so thin the batter would leak out. So tomorrow I will eat an egg salad Sammy for you. But no cake-nothing to celebrate here without you. Miss you two so much! I am glad you are back together and with your other babies. Dear Mom, Well made it through Christmas. Glad it is over. It was awful with out you here. I know it has only been not quite 7 wks. How am I ever going to make it? I stayed up til early this morning just bawling. I finally fell asleep around 5am and then slept most of day. My heart just aches for you. I don't know why you couldn't have stayed longer. I would have taken care of you forever. I will never understand. I know he takes the best. I  will love you and dad til the end of time. Love Babe 1

Dear Mom, I wrote a big note to you and then it disappeared. I am going to see if it someway got sent, although I really doubt it. Just telling you how Laura and I are having a real hard time dealing with the fact that you aren't coming back. Poor Dude has no idea what is going on. Usually Tony, but sometimes Joee, goes down and let's him out and plays with him before Laura gets home. He does fairly well, although Joe thinks he's piddling in house. Loved that you were ringing the bell when Joe was there and made the pictures fall. Looked everywhere for your part of it and can't find it. Where did you you put it? Aunt Gerri called yesterday to see how we were. She's having Christmas at her house this year. She put up her decorations too. I am not doing any of that this year. Maybe next year it won't be as raw as it is now. Laura is having such a hard time. She wants to go to cemetery this weekend and I said "Yes, of course" when she asked me. My Crohns is flaring pretty bad-had spinal injection on the 10th-helped some but still have the bad pain. Also Laura and I have been getting migraines pretty often 3-5x' s a week. Even Joe's been getting then 2-3x' s a week. I am constantly talking to you. People must think I am nuts. I miss you so much it physically hurts-feels like my heart is ripping in two. I still go to the phone tons of times a day to call you. I finally took all my reminders out of my phone that said "wake nana for wrestling". That was a tough one. You had labs scheduled to be drawn at the kidney Dr yesterday. I cancelled last month but hadn't taken out of my phone. I sent your hospice team angels-Paulette came the night you took your bad turn-she stayed with us all nite-gave her a pin and says she wears it everyday. Also sent Angel necklaces to Cathy, Sue, and Chaplain Maureen. I told them what you said about the left shoulder.    Well take care,give Dad a big kiss and hug and I know you are on my left shoulder. Nana, I miss you so much, the days go by but time doesn't ease the pain. I still find myself picking up the phone to call you 20 times a day - when I leave work, on break, whenever- you always listened. I come home to this house and its so empty without you. I wake up and hope youre still in your room or in the living room watching wrestling or listening to your police radio. Dude misses you too- I come home from work to find him next to your bed- he was always guarding you. Its been a month without you and life just isn't the same. I know you were suffering but im selfish and just want my nana to still be here. It isn't fair, why you? You fought so hard for so long. It doesn't even feel like the holidays, I cant put the tree up without you or decorate- just not the same. 
I keep getting recognition from work, yesterday I got employee of the month - again - I wish so badly I could call and tell you and hear the happiness in your voice. Im trying hard to be strong but sometimes I crack. Tony tells me its okay- she lived a long good life - this is true but I wanted more time with you. 
Did you tell Poppi hi for me? give him a hug and smooch for me, will ya? I miss you Nana and I may not have always done right but I hope you know how much you mean to me and how thankful I am for our time and memories together (good and bad).

Dear Mom, Happy Thanksgiving! Although I know everyday in heaven is wonderful. Had a quiet day/dinner, just the four of us, at our house. Kim had invited us over there. By the way Dolly came to Kim's on the 22nd but haven't talked to her. MJ invited us to Friedls but didn't' want to do that either. Thought MJ and family were going there but he ended up at his house too. MJ calls me everyday, but I called him first today. Just not in the celebrating mood this year. Me and MJ have gotten much closer and I am thankful for that. Laura's been having couple of rough days,thinking everyone forgot about you. That is so far from the truth. We miss you so much- still go to the phone to call you all day. Sure missed you at the table today. I even miss you saying, "huh?". I have five messages just saying "just checking to see what's up" from you on my voicemail saved. So I can still hear your voice when the sadness gets too hard. Love and miss you, Patti

Dear Mom, I still can't believe you are gone. Just came back to my house and now it seems more  real. I have been at your house almost four months. I go to the phone at least ten times a day to call you to tell something, I sure miss our daily phone calls and our long talks everyday. No one will or could ever replace you. Laura and I are trying to hang tough together. We know you are on our left shoulders and always will be. We know you were ready and wanted to be with dad. Give him a hug and kiss from me. My Dear Nana... I miss you more than words could ever say. Its been one week. 7 days. 168 Hours. Too long without you. I know you're not in pain or suffering anymore but I sure am down here without you. I know Poppi greeted you with a huge hug and kiss at the golden gates, finally reunited with your "sweetie". Im more than thankful for the 30 years I had with you but I would give just about anything for five more minutes, one more conversation, one more hug- one more memory with you. Matt, Patty and families,  We are so sorry to hear about your Mom.  We'll never forget all the fun times spent with both your parents, especially up at the lake.  Your Mom always made  us feel  we were  just another part of the family,  always welcomed with a smile.   May God give you comfort and her memories make you smile.

I am very sorry for your loss. Pat was a fun person to be around. We are unable to make it to the service, my Mom fell in the nursing home and is pretty sore (no broken bones) She sends her condolences. Take care of yourselves.
