Please accept our heart-felt sympathy for the loss of your dear husband.  I will miss his laugh, his smile, his sense of humor and his story-tell.  Oh, how he could tell wonderful stories. And now he is awaiting our arrival, what a day of rejoicing it will be to all see our Lord and Savior, Jesus, face-to-face!

I am so sorry to hear about Robert's death.  He was such a good friend of mine growing up in Alexandria and Emmanual Baptist Church.  It was good seeing him at his last HS reunion.  I had a good visit with him.  A great person and he will be missed

Judy, I dont know you but remember Robert as a child when I visited my grandmother and his cousin Betty Jo. My Aunt Margaret was married to his mother's brother, John Robert so we were sort of cousins. I am very sorry for your great loss but rejoice in knowing he is indeed with our Lord in a better place.

Judy, we are so sorry about Robert. We will miss him in the neighborhood. If you looked up the definition of a good neighbor, Robert's face would be there. Always a cheery hello or wave, and always willing to help with something. We only hope we can return his kindness by being good neighbors to you. You only have to ask. I'm sure Robert is happy now in heaven and smiling down on us.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Bob was a tower of kindness and inspiration.  He spent countless hours counseling people on employment skills and career possibilities after they had lost a job.  I was one of those lucky people.  In the process, I gained a dear friend and met Bob's wife, Judy.  Together Bob and Judy practiced what they preached - their Christianity shown like a bright light for all to see.  I shall miss this wonderful man and send my sincere condolences to Judy, family members and friends.

Robert was my cousin on the "Robert" side of the family.  Our grandmother, Gussie Robert, had 8 grandchildren, and Robert is the first to go to his heavenly home.  I have wonderful memories of sitting down to delicious Sunday dinners that his mother, Helen (Aunt Bea), had prepared for large gatherings of family and friends.  I am glad I saw Robert a year or so ago when he had been down to Alexandria for his high school class reunion.  We both discussed those delicious meals and especially the BERRY COBBLER!  My deepest sympathy goes out to Judy and all of Robert's family and friends during this time of such unexpected loss.  God bless you all.

Farewell my friend, we shall see each other again…

I cherished the times when we were together talking and laughing. I wish we could do that again, but now there is nothing I can do, today I say my goodbye to you. We shall see each other again, I know you are happy there, you are safe in heaven and nobody can harm you there.

Your love changed so many lives and they are much better today because of you. The time will pass and it will lessen the pain, but our feeling for you it will stay the same. Bye for now my dear friend Robert.

I am very saddened by the death of Rev. Robert Bollar. Robert was a true Christian and this world has lost a good man. My prayers are with his dear wife, Judy and his wonderful family.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  He restores my soul.  He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Your husband is a dear, sweet man and I will never forget him.  I feel blessed to have known him and share church community with him.  I lift you and your family in my prayers during this difficult time.

Coach Ray Mills told Robert that he had to be meaner if he wanted to play football. Well, it wasn't in Robert to be mean, yet he still did just fine on the Bolton gridiron.
He was as comfortable in his suspenders and jeans as in his uniform or in his school clothes. He had a temper that came with that red hair, but it didn't show that often.
The family farmed west of town and Robert always had something that needed to be done. Likely kept him out of some of the fixes some of his classmates got in.

Robert, my cousin, and I shared many happy childhood memories. I always called him "Red". We used to love summer vacations when we could play on the bayou and enjoy our made-up games. As adults, we stayed in contact but not as often as we would have liked. He will be missed. Our condolences go to Judy. God must have needed another angel in heaven

I am so very sorry to learn of Robert's sudden passing. I didn't know him in adulthood, only as a child in elementary school at Rapides school. Even then, he was special..destined to serve our Lord. I am best friends with Betty Jo & Roby Farrar & have been since she & I were in first grade. The Bollar family are all very special to me & I am saddened by your loss. May God comfort each of you. Our prayers are with you as you grieve your loss.  We appreciate the contributions you both made to the Crossroads ministry when we were in Minnesota.

Robert and my siblings and I grew up together in Alexandria, LA.   I got to know him again as an adult in the 80s when we worked together in the school system.   I respected him, enjoyed his company and thoughts, and want to tell his family that I am truly sorry for your sudden loss.

Judy,  Our love and condolences to you and your family at this sad time.  We have only fond memories of the time you and Robert spent here at First Presbyterian in Alexandria and of your return visit several years ago.  May you find comfort and strength in the love of God that surrounded you both in your special ministries.

Robert was my youngest male cousin,  We were together with the rest of the Bollar clan during our growing years.  I remember Robert as being a very God serving person even then. I was so uoset to hear of Mr. Bollar's passing. He was a great man and I have so many memories from our time in Louisiana. I am so thankful for the love and guidance he gave to our family. Thoughts and prayers for you!
