Born on 3/6/51 in Boone, IA to Clarence & Lois. Graduated from Concordia University of St. Paul with a degree in education. Taught 4th grade at E. St. Paul Lutheran School, and later became a computer programmer at Country Financial. An active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Steve was known for his dry wit and the compassionate connections he made with others. He was deeply devoted to his family, especially his wife & children. Preceded in death by parents and aunt, Ruth “Sis”. He will be deeply missed by wife of 30 yrs., Sandy; children, Rebecca (Jesse) Voelker, Michael; sisters, Susan (Rod) Ullestad, Laurie (Brian) Peterson; nieces, nephew, and other relatives & friends. Visitation on Sun., 6/19, 4-7PM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul. Service on Mon., 6/20, 6:30PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 655 Forest St., St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 5:30PM. Interment will take place on Tues., 6/21 at Roselawn Cemetery.
